Currently focused on Toronto and the GTA, dot. plans expansion nationally and internationally to make wellness more accessible for everyone.

Role Description

This role as Technical Founding Team Member will play a key role in building and shaping our wellness platform. As part of the founding team, you will have the opportunity to work on various technical aspects of the platform and contribute to its growth. It would be great if you have developer experience with interest in AI and/or web3 and blockchain, and ideal if you experience with all of these areas of tech (though of course not expected!). This is a remote role working in the EST time zone.

 

We’re seeking a passionate and self-driven individual to join our founder, SaraLi. As a tech-savvy team member, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the dot. platform. Your contributions will directly impact the lives of our users by providing them with a holistic wellness experience. We don’t expect managerial experience; instead, we value problem-solving skills, a willingness to learn, highly open & forthright communication, and adaptability.

 

Qualifications

Tech skills (if you have just a few key skills and are able to learn the others, that's definitely good enough to apply!)

• -Strong programming skills in one or more languages relevant to creating a web app/software (the main must have)
• -Experience in web development and building scalable applications
• -Knowledge of modern web technologies and frameworks, such as React, Angular, or Node.js
• -Understanding of database systems and proficiency in SQL

 

Soft skills

• -Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• -Excellent communication skills - being forthright, open, vulnerable, and proactive. You can over-communicate and ask questions.
• -Go-getting attitude, proactive problem-solving

 

Other

• -Passion for Wellness: You’re genuinely interested in promoting holistic/comprehensive wellness (*only the scientific areas!) and believe in the interconnected nature of various aspects of our lives.
• -Doing good: You want to make a positive impact on the world and people's lives

Nice-to-Haves:

• -Understanding of no-code tools, enabling rapid prototyping and development.
• -Familiarity with AI, blockchain, and web3 technologies.
• -Knowledge of cloud computing platforms, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• -Basic knowledge of cybersecurity principles.
